Jacksonville Beach Fall 2026 Events at Seawalk Pavilion

Two big events bracket Jacksonville Beach's fall calendar, and both happen in the same place. The 11th Annual Beaches Oktoberfest takes over Seawalk Pavilion on October 16 and 17. Deck the Chairs returns to the same pavilion on November 25 and stays through January 1, 2027. Most of what the city has scheduled between those two dates is smaller and shorter. It also lands on weeknights more often than you might guess.

On the City of Jacksonville Beach Parks and Recreation calendar, the October and early November evening events at Latham Plaza and on the sand by the pier mostly start between 4 and 5:30 p.m. and wrap up by 7 or 7:30. In practice, the oceanfront block at 11 1st Street N is an after-work stop this season, with Saturdays saved for the markets.

The weeknight evenings, in order

Here are the shorter evening events by day of the week:

  1. Thursday, October 15, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Silent Piano Concert takes place on the beach just north of the pier. The city's listing describes it as MindTravel's live-to-headphones "silent" piano performance: guests wear wireless headphones while composer and pianist Murray Hidary plays improvised music meant to be soothing. Ticketing goes through an Eventbrite page linked from the city's event listing.
  2. Tuesday, October 27, 4 to 7 p.m. The Jax Beach Classic Car Cruise sets up at Seawalk Pavilion and Latham Plaza.
  3. Friday, October 30, 5 to 7 p.m. Trunk-or-Treat is at Latham Plaza and Seawalk Pavilion, and a Moonlight Movie follows.
  4. Wednesday, November 4, 5 to 7 p.m. Seawalk Sessions features Trent Fowler. The city calls Seawalk Sessions a free community series of live music by the ocean and introduces Fowler as a local artist.

Four evenings fall on four different weekdays. Each lasts two to three hours and is over in time for dinner.

Oktoberfest weekend, the one big production

Oktoberfest is the exception to the short-evening pattern. It runs 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, October 16, and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 17. The festival FAQ also gives a 5 p.m. gate time for Friday, while the ticketing page lists a 4:30 p.m. start. Check the festival's FAQ before you head over on Friday.

Visit Jacksonville's event listing names Sister Hazel, The Hip Abduction, and Coyote Island in this year's lineup. According to the organizer, the music runs from traditional polka bands in the Bierhalle to rock, indie, and electronic acts on the main stage.

Admission surprises a lot of people. The festival says it is free to attend and open to all ages. A ticket is required only to buy and drink alcohol, that ticket is 21+, and children under 12 need no ticket. That makes a family walk-through on Saturday afternoon very different from a full evening in the beer hall.

Ticket tier What the festival says it includes
Oktoberfest Experience Passport, Bier Hall access, and a commemorative stein with four passport stamps for the first 5,000 guests
VIP VIP access at the main stage and the Bier Hall, plus a kickoff party
Premium VIP Everything above, plus complimentary beer and German food in its own VIP Bier Hall

All three tiers come in weekend, Friday-only, and Saturday-only versions. Prices go up as each allotment sells out, so the ticket page has the current figures. For food, the organizer describes a Bierhalle serving bratwurst, pretzels, and schnitzel, along with local, regional, and international beers and some non-alcoholic options.

Saturday mornings at two addresses

On weekends, the daytime events split between the oceanfront and Penman Road. The Beaches Green Market runs every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Penman Park, 321 Penman Road. The city lists produce, meat, eggs, flowers, coffee, plants, teas, cheese, baked goods, honey, and vegan and gluten-free foods among the vendors' goods. The calendar shows a market every Saturday through the end of November, including the Saturday of Oktoberfest and Halloween morning.

The Jax Beach Arts Market sets up at Seawalk Pavilion on two Saturdays this fall, October 24 and November 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city lists the October 24 market at Latham Plaza and Seawalk Pavilion. Jon McGowan and Soft Sand Consulting, LLC run the market. Under its vendor rules, artists and makers sell their own work, and resale, food vendors, and food trucks are not allowed. Because the two markets overlap on both of those Saturdays, one morning can cover groceries at Penman Park and handmade work by the ocean. The Arts Market doesn't sell food, so lunch is a separate stop.

The month opens with a Saturday event on the plaza as well. The Buddy Walk runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 10 at Latham Plaza and Seawalk Pavilion.

Halloween happens on the 30th

The busiest night of the month is October 30, a Friday, the day before Halloween. The city has scheduled three events at two locations:

  • Trunk-or-Treat, 5 to 7 p.m., at Latham Plaza and Seawalk Pavilion
  • Carver Center Trunk-or-Treat, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Carver Center, 777 5th Avenue S
  • Moonlight Movie, The Haunted Mansion (2003), 7:15 to 8:45 p.m., back at Latham Plaza and Seawalk Pavilion

The plaza Trunk-or-Treat ends at 7, and the movie starts 15 minutes later in the same spot. A family could do candy and then a film without moving the car. The Carver Center event overlaps both, so families south of the pier have a second option on 5th Avenue South.

November gets quieter, then the chairs arrive

After Seawalk Sessions on November 4, the November calendar thins out. The city's Parks and Recreation listings for the month show the Wednesday concert and the Saturday Green Markets. The Arts Market's second date, November 21, adds one more Saturday at Seawalk Pavilion.

Then, on November 25, the day before Thanksgiving, Deck the Chairs opens at Seawalk Pavilion. Visit Jacksonville describes decorated lifeguard stands on display and holiday performances, running through January 1, 2027. Its schedule of performances is posted on the Deck the Chairs website. We found no 2026 announcements yet for other Jacksonville Beach holiday events, such as a parade or tree lighting, so the city calendar is the place to watch as December gets closer.

Where to eat when things wrap at 7

The short evening format leaves time for dinner afterward, and two of the nearby restaurants are new this year.

Alder & Oak opened July 15, 2026, at 131 First Ave. N., on the corner of Second Street North. It took over the former Jekyll Brewing space, which closed in May 2025. According to the Jax Daily Record, the restaurant sits next to its sister restaurant Oaxaca Club. The first Alder & Oak opened in January at The Hub at 400 Riverside Ave. Mark Janasik owns both restaurants, along with Blueberry Artisan Bakery and the Southern Grounds coffee shops.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. opened at 6 Beach Blvd. in the former Joe's Crab Shack building. News4JAX reported the opening on March 18, 2026, and listed hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Those late weekend hours fit the Halloween double bill on the 30th or a Friday night at Oktoberfest.
